It is with deep sorrow and sadness that we mourn the passing of Edward Wong, husband, father, son, brother and friend.
He was born on October 9, 1964 in Fort St. John, BC and passed away on January 19, 2021 at VGH in Vancouver, BC. He was 56.
Edward had deep dimples and a huge smile that made people feel good. He attended Vancouver Technical High School where he met his lifelong friends and was very proud that he spent the majority of his life living in East Vancouver. He loved to BBQ, play video games, listen to 80s music, and cruise around the city. Before his illness limited him physically, he loved playing hockey, softball, hiking, biking, camping and going to the beach. Most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Edward is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 20 years, Sarah, his beautiful children, Megan, Marcus and Mattias, his parents, Dan and Alice, his sister, Julie, brother, David (Masami), and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Though he is gone from this earth, his love for his family will always endure. He will be forever missed.
We would like to thank the doctors and nurses at VGH and the Transplant Clinic for their wonderful care and support. Thank you to Edward's employer, Zeemac Leasing for their support and patience throughout his illness, and thank you to family and friends near and far for their love and support at this very difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Edward's memory to the Transplant Research Foundation of British Columbia, http://www.trfbc.org or a charity of your choice.
