David Burton

It is with overwhelming sadness that we share the unexpected passing of David Graham Burton. Born September 28, 1950, Dave passed away at Royal Columbian Hospital June 1, 2017 due to a sudden cardiac event. Dave was born, raised, and lived the 66 years of his life in Burnaby. He is predeceased by his dad Cliff, and father-in-law Larry Cole. Dave is survived by mom Patricia Burton and mom-in-law Pat Cole; and the rest of his loving family Wendy (Cole); children Andrew, Erin, Christopher (Angela); grandchildren Dean (Emily), Ross, Gus, Tess, Luke, Karissa, Spencer, Chloe, Doyle, Max; sister Nancy (Chris and Emily) Ashton, and many other special nieces, nephews and friends.

A commercial fisherman and truck driver, Dave went on to own and operate Burton Delivery Service. He loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, boating, skiing, Gambier, Salt Spring, Whistler and traveling. Most important to Dave was spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by us all.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday June 6th at the Hastings Room at the PNE at 2:00 p.m. (Enter Gate 2 off Renfrew) Donations to BC Children's Hospital and Gambier Community Centre Society are appreciated. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.bellburnaby.com
