Predeceased by his loving wife (Sabine Macht); parents (Kau Yu Iu & Yuk Jing Li); and brother (Amos).
Danny is survived by his sister Isabella (Roy); their son Jason (Sylvia) and daughters Amy (Walter) and Winnie (Ryan); brother Stephen (Irene) and his daughters Melanie (Gary) and Jennifer (Harry); nephews Amos and Martin; great-nephews Justin and Felix; great-nieces Samantha and Lucie; and many other relatives and close friends.
Danny was born in Hong Kong where he attended the Diocesan Boys’ School (DBS), and came to North America at the age of 19 to first obtain a degree in Engineering from Washington State University and later an MBA from the University of Oregon. Danny devoted the majority of his career and enjoyed over three decades of success with The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).
Beyond being a devoted husband and loyal employee, Danny had a rich circle of friends and a handful of passions, not the least of which were golf (watching and playing), baseball and car racing (which he was a lifelong fan and also an amateur racer in the Honda Challenge Series in the 80’s and 90’s).
In lieu of flowers, we welcome donations to the Parkinson Society of British Columbia as well as the BC Cancer Foundation.
