Mrs. Chun-Chun Smiling Tiger Chan

Mother was beautiful, intelligent, creative, elegant, strong & supportive. She was an acknowledged beauty from childhood to old age. She was always complimented on being well groomed, beautifully and elegantly dressed in her own creative style.

In her youthful days she was dubbed “Smiley Tiger” due to her enchanting smile and ferocity in the basketball courts. Born in the year of the tiger and true to her nick name, mother battled life’s challenges with her charming smile, will power and great strength of character.

She taught school all her working life and struggled hard to raise us 4 children. She provided us with a stable environment, good family breeding and high standard education. She was of the vintage that did not verbally express their love or compliment her own children but you know you can rely on her care and support. You could FEEL her love and her pride in you.

Mother was not an easy person to please. We may not have fulfilled her perfectionist expectations of us. Nevertheless, it is comforting to know that she did express her feelings of being blessed that she was so well looked after in her old age not only by her children but also Judy & Ricky as she became frailer. Mammy, we will miss you!
