Our family has lost our dearest Tina to stage 4 pancreatic cancer, after a short and valiant battle with the illness. She is predeceased by her parents (Ela-Lyn & Albert) & 2 brothers (Julian and Vince). She is survived by her loving & devoted husband of over 30 years Yanni, sister Roma, brother-in-law Leonard, sister-in-law Angela (Adly) & a most cherished cadre of nephews and nieces. Tina was of Lithuanian descent, born in Coventry, UK and grew up in Welland, Ontario. She dedicated her life to the profession of Nursing & became a staunch advocate of elders' rights & health-care. Tina has been a valued mentor & teacher to many nursing students & a dear friend to many more. Up to the onset of her illness, she had been working round the clock through the Covid-19 pandemic as the Nursing Home Manager of Inglewood facility in North Vancouver. Heartfelt thanks to all the health care providers involved in her battle with cancer, especially Dr. Amber Jarvie & McKenney Creek Hospice in Maple Ridge.
Particular gratitude to Father Tim Pratas of St. Nicholas & Dimitrios Greek Orthodox Church (BBY) for his support of Tina & our family during this difficult time.
In lieu of flowers, please donate in Tina's memory to the Cancer Agency of BC. A private family-only memorial service will be held at a later date.
