Ching Yee Lau passed away peacefully on October 22, 2021 in Burnaby, BC at the age of 89.
Ching Yee was born on December 9, 1931 in Kudat, Malaysia. Ching Yee was the 2nd eldest in her family of six sisters and she took on the role of looking after her siblings at a young age. She married Philip in 1953 in Hong Kong and later immigrated to Canada in 1974.
Ching Yee is survived by her devoted husband of 68 years, Philip and her two sons: David and William (Kathien). She was adored by her three grandchildren: Amelia (Glen), Andrew (Emeline), and Adrian and blessed with two great grandchildren: Evan and Ainsley. She is remembered by family and friends for her love, kindness, and selfless caring for others.
A viewing and funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 12:00 pm at Corpus Christi Parish, 6350 Nanaimo Street, Vancouver. Followed by a committal service at 2:00 pm in the Legacy Garden section of Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby.
