Born in Hallside, Lanarkshire, Scotland. One of ten children of Edward and Annie McGuire. Cathy immigrated to Canada in 1948 aboard the M.S. Batory and rode the train from Montreal to Vancouver, where she met Anton Eisenzimmer of Holdfast, Saskatchewan. They were married in 1950 and had a son, Anton, who tragically died in a car crash at the age of 18. They lived in Kitsilano for 25 years before moving to White Rock. Cathy loved music and sang with The Sweet Adelines. Her sharp wit and intense personality will be missed. Cathy is survived by many relatives in Scotland and England. Special thanks to Dr. Spangehl and all the volunteers of Star of the Sea who served Cathy wonderfully over the years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2013 at Star of the Sea Catholic Parish, 1153 Fir Street, White Rock, with interment to follow at Ocean View Burial Park, Burnaby.
