She was born in China, moved to Hong Kong in 1945 where she lived most of her life and immigrated to Canada in 1993.
She was predeceased by her Husband Yeung Ming CHAN (1964), her two daughters Margaret (2019) and Brenda (2022) and nine of her siblings.
She will be lovingly remembered by her brother, Armstrong (Fenny); her children, Francis (Wendy), Elaine (Dean), Benny (Betty), sons-in-law, Wilson and Charles. Her grandchildren Grace (Johnny), Tommy; Christine (Dan), Glen (Lynn); Anthony (Angela), Samson (Crystal); and Kennix. Great grandchildren, Sukie, Grayson, James and Haruki; and many relatives near and far.
Big Gee (May) was a long-time member of the Gospel Church in Christ. She lived the last 2.5 years at Mount Saint Joseph Extended Care Unit and was much loved by her family, many friends and the staff at MSJ.

Big Gee's final resting place will be with her husband at Forest Lawn. There will be celebration of Life on Friday, August 2⋅10:00 – 11:30am at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G 3M1. Cremation will follow on the same day as the service.
Internment will be on Thursday, August 8⋅11:00am – 12:00pm at
Forest Lawn Memorial Park at 3789 Royal Oak Ave, Burnaby, BC V5G 3M1.
