Mr. Arthur Wong

Dad was born on April 13, 1936 in Toi Shan, China to the late Mr. Wong Chee Cham and Mrs. Wai Heung Wong. He passed away peacefully on October 20, 2013 at the age of 77, surrounded by his loving family. He arrived in Vancouver on July 11, 1951 and quickly established roots as a new Canadian. He built a loving family, had many close friends, and was active in the community within the many associations in Chinatown. He is dearly missed by his wife Pui Kuen, his children Karen (Kenneth), Terry (Jacqueline), and Susan (Denis); his grandchildren Tiffany, Britney, Andrew, Matthew, Joshua, Liam and Adam.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 26, 2013 at 10:30AM at Forest Lawn Funeral Home 3789 Royal Oak Avenue, Burnaby, BC. The family kindly asks that in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Palliative Care Unit via the VGH Foundation website, http://my.e2rm.com/personalPage.aspx?registrationID=2166009&langPref=en-CA, or to the BC Cancer Agency, http://donate.bccancerfoundation.com/goto/ArthurWong, in memory of Mr. Arthur Wah Chong Wong.

In his memory, family and friends have donate $7,039 to help hospitals and care facilities that are dear to Dad. We donated to BC Cancer Foundation, VGH & UBC Foundation (Palliative Care Unit), Children's Hospital Foundation, St. Paul's Hospital, Tapestry Foundation to Mt St. Joseph.
