With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Antonio Rigio, beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and uncle, at the age of 89. Antonio passed away peacefully, surrounded by family and the extended family, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith, and selfless devotion.
Born in Carolei, Cosenza, Italy, Antonio's early life was marked by hard work and sacrifice. He learned the craft of woodworking as a Cabinet Maker and later built a life with his beloved wife of 64 years, Candida Sicilia. Together, they raised a family, first in Italy, then in Canada, where Antonio's unwavering commitment to family and faith guided them through each challenge.
He is survived by his wife Candida, his brother Fred, his daughter Lorie (Ralph), grandchildren Amanda (Alex) and Kristina (Jesse), great-granddaughter Ariana, and many other family members.
Antonio's legacy will live on in the lives of his family, the love he shared, and the lessons he taught. May he rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love of God and those who went before him. He was predeceased by his father Pasquale Rigio, mother Elvira Fata, sister Rosina Rota, and brother Frank Rigio.
