Mrs. Annie Wong (nee Annie Chung and 鍾平秀) was born on August 14, 1933 in Canmore, Alberta to her parents, James Chung and Chung Lee Chin Chiu. Annie was the second youngest of eight children born to her parents.
Annie moved to Hong Kong in 1935 and was raised there. After receiving a formal education in Hong Kong, Annie became a teacher and met Ting Wai Wong after 1955. They were married on May 12, 1959 and had six children comprised of two sons and four daughters.
In 1973, Annie and Ting Wai moved their family to Canada and settled in Vancouver. Their children studied hard and flourished. Each child graduated from a post-secondary institution and became a health care professional. Both Annie and Ting Wai were very proud of their children.
On December 19, 2022, Ting Wai passed away. Soon after the passing of Ting Wai, Annie died on February 10, 2023 and is survived by her six children, seven grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
