Andrea Michele Bruschetta

December 1, 1931 – September 12, 2023

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of our husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather on September 12, 2023 at the age of 91. Andy was born in Fossalunga di Vedelago, Treviso, Italy on December 1, 1931 to Italia and Gregorio Bruschetta. In 1951 he moved to Canada to start a new life where he met and married Teresina in 1954.

Andy worked his entire career as a carpenter and helped build many homes, decks and stairs for family and friends. He was a master carpenter and took pride in his work. He loved to dance with his wife at family functions and community banquets, take his family camping and fish & hunt with his friends. We will treasure those special times spent together. Andy was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather who adored his family and was loved by all. He was a devoted Catholic giving of his time and talent to his parish at OLS. We thank the many wonderful people who cared for Andy at Villa Carital in his final years.

Andy was predeceased by his brother Gino. He is survived by his loving wife of 69 years Teresina; children Lui (Wendy) & Linda (Robert); grandchildren Amanda (Fraser), Lia (Aryo), Devon (Jessica) & Kassia (Marko) and great grandchildren Kaia, Bodhi & Hudson, siblings Aldo (Sandra), Gina, Carmella & Ada and many in-laws, cousins, nieces & nephews.

Prayers and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, September 22nd, 2023 at 1pm at Our Lady of Sorrows, 555 Slocan Street, Vancouver. Private entombment for immediate family to follow at Ocean View Burial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer’s Society would be greatly appreciated.

The Lord has called you to Heaven. May everyone live their lives with devotion to family and faith as you have. Rest in eternal peace.
