William Bill Alan McMillan

William “Bill” A. McMillan, formerly of Fall River, MA passed away suddenly at his home in Los Angeles, California on June 25, 2014 at the age of 57. Bill is survived by his wife, Naureen (O’Malley) McMillan of Los Angeles, his parents, Robert McMillan and Jacqueline (Riley) McMillan of Fall River, his sister, Joanne Leary of Fall River, his parents-in-law Peter and Mary O’Malley, his brothers-in-law Peter O’Malley, Michael O’Malley and Timothy O’Malley, and his sisters-in-law Ani O’Malley and Sharlet Trilling. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews, and by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Bill was an outstanding basketball player at Bishop Stang High School, where he was one of eight 1,000 point scorers in school history, and at Stonehill College, where he was a starter on the varsity squad for several years. Bill graduated from Stonehill College in 1979, and went on to obtain an MBA (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of Notre Dame. He was the former Chief Financial Officer of RKG Interactive, Inc. in Hermosa Beach, California. Bill was much beloved by his family and by his many, many friends across the country, including those from Fall River, from the Stonehill College community, from the Bishop Stang community and from the close knit neighborhood in beautiful Laurel Canyon (Los Angeles), where he and his wife Naureen lived for the past 28 years. He will also be greatly missed by “Indy,” his faithful 170 pound Irish Wolfhound.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bill's memory to Stonehill College, 320 Washington Street, N. Easton, MA 02357-6242. A memorial service will be held at Valley Funeral Home in Burbank, CA on July 20 from 2-5. A second memorial service will be held in the Pettit Atrium of the Thomas and Mary Shields Science Center at Stonehill College on August 10 from 2-5. All of Bill’s family and friends are invited to speak and share fond remembrances at both memorial services, at which all are welcome.
