Robert James “Bob” Bennett passed away on October, 4, 2023, at his home in Pine Mountain, California, at age eighty-five. Family stood vigil by his bedside as he departed this life after a years-long battle with multiple debilitating health problems through which he persevered with enormous strength and courage. He will never be forgotten by those of us who loved him so dearly and respected him as a great husband and father, a gentle man and a gentleman. We were blessed to be his family. We will love and keep him close in our hearts the rest of our lives. Happily, he will be reunited in heaven with his youngest daughter, Rachel, who predeceased him in 2014.
He is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Janet, surviving daughter, Lisa, and granddaughters Elizabeth, Isabel, and Jolie. Family in Illinois are Bob’s brother, Gary, sister Sharon, nieces, nephews, and many cousins.
