I really didn’t get much of a chance to tell you how sorry I am for your family’s loss. 
I just wanted to share one memory of Jim was back in the late 70’s camping with all of our families at McGrath. I got to tag along with the men to go surf fish. I always liked hanging with the older guys. Jim,Pat and Joe. I remember Jim always had an easy way of talking and always would help me out while fishing. He was always very kind.
 I’m sorry the last couple of years have been so hard and I hope you weather the storm leaning on each other.

We will miss you uncle Jim . We thank you for serving our country. We always think of you when we watch the veterans in the 4th of July parade. You were always kind and soft spoken around us. It was nice whenever you were  able to join us camping too. May you Rest In Peace.

I remember meeting Uncle Jim when I was really little. He came to the Noonan’s for a family party with my Aunt Debbie. He was so nice to everyone but I was completely obsessed with his tattoo of a snake that he could make dance. 
He always had time to say something kind and had a big smile for me. He made me feel special and I loved how much he loved my aunt and cousins.  He will be missed but I’m sure he is in a place with lots of dogs and great camping.

We are so sorry for the loss of  your husband and father. 
We have such good memories of the times when we would get together in our apartments in Van Nuys after Gary and Charlene were born.  We also enjoyed getting together for the kids birthday parties. 
We know that Jim will surely be missed by all that knew him. 
He was so blessed to have such a wonderful caring family to watch over him. 
May God bless and comfort you in the loss of your loved one.

P.S.  Uncle Jim had a few tattoos & one was for a previous girlfriend named  “Cathy” on his  arm...he use to tell me he got it for me. 💞

I have so many great memories of my sweet Uncle Jim. 
First, I remember him being  so cool & driving an El Camino when I was young.  He would drive my sisters and I around in the back, even on the freeway and it was so fun! 
I also recall having a slumber party and Aunt Debbie and Uncle Jim’s first apartment and swimming all day, and playing with  their cat Rufus. They have had  cherished pets since that day and always were so loved.
I also remember falling in Grandma Webb’s backyard, and scraping my face and hands on a fence that riddled me with tiny splinters...Uncle Jim and Aunt Debbie listened to me scream as they pulled the splinter out...I felt safe within their care. 
Once when Jeff and I were camping in Sequoia with his parents, we were driving and the Codella family just so happened to be camping as well and right in front of us!! We shared a campfire that night and played games. (One of the games still brings us unforgettable funny memory...I know you remember, Aunt Debbie 🤣)
Also, many 4th of July’s were spent together over the years. It was always fun going to Lake Arrowhead and sit on the side of the mountain and bust out all our patriotic songs. I remember Uncle Jim really being in the moment and every day being a man who was “proud to be an American“ and that song will always remind me of him.
Over the last decade and a half, I have seen Uncle Jim’s mind and body decline slowly. He fought the good fight! 
I was blessed to witness Aunt Debbie as she cared for Uncle Jim’s and fulfilled her vows she spoke on her wedding day “for better or worse & sickness and in health”. It has been a gift seeing her pour out her love onto Uncle Jim and her unconditional love for their marriage. 
I will forever treasure the memories of my Uncle Jim as a cool and relaxed guy, easy  to talk to, with a great laugh and kind.  I am thankful for his great kids too; my amazing cousins! Love you Aunt Debbie,  Charlene and Christa.

We thinkk of Jim as the young father when we were all  young and raising our kids.  We also think of him as the veteran who traded stories with Harold and Danny as fellow veterans.  Happy to think of him home with God. 


I remember when I first started dating Cathy, Uncle Jim was always welcoming me and made it a point to include me.  I always enjoyed his company and hanging out with him on camping trips. He knew how to relax and enjoy life, which I admired about him. I was so proud of Uncle Jim when he would march in the Huntington Beach 4th of July parade as a Vietnam Veteran. I would point him out to all my friends as a spectator. I also enjoyed visiting Uncle Jim at the traveling wall that he volunteered at. Thank you for your service! You will be missed but always remembered.
