Stephen Dean Stolworthy, 76, passed away on March 28, 2025, in Bullhead City, Arizona. Born on June 11, 1948, in Lehi, Utah, Steve lived a life marked by dedication to his family, service to his country, and a deep commitment to his work and passions.
In 1967, Steve enlisted in the United States Navy and served with distinction for four years as a radioman in communications. His service took him to Vietnam and Australia. In recognition of his meritorious service, he was awarded the Navy Achievement Medal in 1971. He completed his military career with the rank of E5 as a communications supervisor. Following his honorable discharge from the Navy, Steve embarked on a professional journey that reflected his strong work ethic and leadership abilities. He held supervisory roles at Douglas Aircraft and Lockheed Martin before transitioning into the agricultural and construction equipment industry. Over several years, he served as a service manager at various John Deere dealerships. His final 25 years were spent at Coastline Equipment—a John Deere dealership—where he worked as Corporate Service Manager until retirement.
Steve had a passion for collecting John Deere memorabilia and chainsaws and found joy in wood cutting. These hobbies reflected both his appreciation for craftsmanship and his enduring connection to the land and machinery he worked with throughout his career.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Beverly Jane Stolworthy; children Lorraine (Johnny) Fuentes, Carl (Lisa) Stolworthy, Amie (Steve) Gallegly, Melissa (Jon) Settles; stepchildren Amanda Wright, Anthony (Jaclyn) Ochoa, and Alexander Ochoa; siblings Barbara (Russ) Glenn, Elaine Christensen, Robert (Cathy) Stolworthy, Susan (Mike) Christensen, Joanne (Brad) Gneiting, Loraine (Dennis) Michelson, Paul (Heather) Stolworthy, Grant (Connie) Stolworthy, Kay (Tim) Paulson, Mary (Scott) Brady, Richard
(Juneve) Stolworthy, Mark (Kari) Stolworthy, and Diane (Ron) Smith. He was blessed with many grandchildren and great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents Dean Stolworthy and Azalia (Abbott) Stolworthy and an infant sister Anne Stolworthy. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Dimond & Sons Silver Bell Chapel located at 2620 Silver Creek Road in Bullhead City, Arizona. A memorial service will follow at the same location from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. A luncheon reception will take place afterward from 1:30 PM to 5:30 PM at Bullhead Area Chamber of Commerce at 1251 Hwy 95, Bullhead City, AZ 86429.
Burial with military honors will be held on Friday, April 18, 2025, from 1:15 PM to 1:45 PM at Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery located at 1900 Veterans Memorial Drive in Boulder City, Nevada.
Steve’s legacy of hard work, generosity, and devotion will live on through those who knew him. May his memory bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
