It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Rick Shepard, our beloved stepfather and a highly respected electrical engineer. Rick passed away on December 13, 2022 at 71 years old after a short battle with cancer

Rick was born March 8,1951 in Monterey Park and spent most of his life pursuing his passion for electrical engineering. He graduated with a degree in Electrical Engineering from Fullerton in 1982 and went on to work for several prominent companies in the industry, including Meller Electric, MEC Electric, McCombs-Wall, inc

In addition to his successful career, Rick was also a devoted husband and stepfather. He met his wife, Karen, in 1975 and they were married in December of 1978. Rick became a loving stepfather to Robert, Debra and Rebecca and always put his family first.

Rick was known for his intelligence, his dedication to his work, and his kind and caring nature. He had a great sense of humor and loved to make those around him laugh. He enjoyed spending time with his family, riding horses, and tinkering with electronics in his spare time.

Rick will be deeply missed by his wife, Karen, his stepchildren, his grandchild Austin,and his great grandchild Wyatt his colleagues in the electrical engineering community, and all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy will live on through the countless projects he worked on and the lives he touched.

Rest in peace, Rick. You will be forever missed and always remembered.
