I can't believe that it's been a month since I last seen and talked with you. And I never got the chance to say thank you for everything you did for me and Amber. You have taught me so much. Dad... No words can be said to show how much I miss you. When I'm asked who you were in life the answer is simple. My father was the greatest man I have ever known. More than a father more than a friend he is my hero. You taught me to turn loss into victory. Failures into achievements through the lesson learned. As I look back at life with you pride is what I feel. As i look forward peace is whats in my heart knowing that your legacy will live on in mom and your children as well as our children's children. I will forever love and cherish you. Never will i forget all that you have taught me. Pass on best wishes and love to all our family with you now.

 Tony, Even tough we were miles apart I always thought of you. Give a kiss to Mom, Paul, Addie ,Tony M. Kay and dad for me, I love them and miss them all.

To the Rossi family, I can realize our loss in the passing of Tony our loved one. I know how empty my world seemed to be when heard of his passing. It will very hard for all of us who knew him to carry on with out him but we can be glad for it was our pleasure to have known him and had contact with him as long as we did. He was a very loving person and he will be missed by all.
 I will keep him in my thoughts for ever as my loving brother.

I remember the first day I met you when I was 15. I called you Mr Rossi and you said call me Tony. Thanks for being the best grandpa ever to my Angelina. Sue I am sorry for your loss.

Believe it or not words have escaped me as of late. Me the daughter who has inherited your gift of and for "debate". 

I don't know if you ever knew just how good of a man you were. I am certain you never gave yourself enough credit, taking care of everyone is just what you did... end of story.

I hope you know how much your opinion meant to me even when we were on opposite sides of the spectrum. And please know that I am firm in my beliefs and opinions because you and the example you set in not comprimising or backing off of what you believed in. I could not have asked for a better teacher.

My hope is that my boys grow up with the same convictions and integrity of both of their grandfathers and continue to teach their children in the same fashion as well.

I love and miss you, please kiss Grandma, Aunt Katy, Aunt Addie, Uncle Paul and Uncle Tony for me.

Grandpa,
You thought us so much from our parents to us. You were like a dad to me always taking care of me even though there were times you drove me crazy. I am so honored to have you as my grandfather and as I grow I see a lot of you in me. You were one of the strongest man I knew and I am going to miss you more then words can explain. As much as I want to be selfish and want you here I know you are not in pain and are reunited with your family having the time of your life. I love you Grandpa and miss you more as time goes by.
You are my guarding angel and I know you with be with me everyday of my life. The last words you spoke to me was that you were Proud of me. Even though I couldn't personally show you my degree, I know you were there with me and walked along with me and I thank you or always believing in me and in all of us. You had one o the biggest hearts of all!!!

What a life changing loss this is; Uncle Tony's passing represents the end of an era for those he has left behind. 

To all of you who call yourself a Rossi ~ be you a Rossi through blood, by marriage, or the mere association of love and friendship shared upon you, we have a major loss in our family on this sad day in May. We have lost a husband of many years, a very dear father, a last surviving brother, a handsome uncle, a fun-loving cousin, and a trusted friend, a patriarch of our Buffalo connection to the Rossi name. We've lost someone who was the rock on which we stood, a wealth of knowledge to which we brought our problems, a loving sole who cared for all of us and of course, a partner with a difference of opinion whom with we all have shared healthy debate!!! 
 
Uncle Tony stood as our local connection to times gone by; a time where our family would gather for any occasion to celebrate, be it the joy of a holiday, the joining of lives together, the birth of new life, the rare visit of a distant family member or, like this time, the sharing of a shoulder on which to mourn the loss of a loved one. And there were many other reasons this Rossi family would gather together… those spontaneous drop-ins for a quick cup of coffee, for that gentle twist of the arm to stay for sauce; to stop by after church while bringing pastries for breakfast; to offer a strong, assisting arm which held a hammer & saw or as in Aunt Katie & my mom's cases, an excuse to check in to see if they were ok; to run to the store, to bring them a meal or see if there was anything they needed. Isn't it funny how these simple spontaneities were his gentle way of showing how he cared? So who will stop by now? Who will offer the hammer or who will bring the pastry? Did we realize then that he was showing all of us the love and integrity of being a “Rossi”? 

Sure we will celebrate similar times and gather with the new young lives in our families, but something will be different; someone will be missing from these gatherings and I find it sorrowful to think that my Uncle “Ninny” will not be there, my grandmother will not be there, my Aunt Katie & Uncle Paul will also be missing, my Addie as well and I would be remiss not to remember the legacies of all other loved ones holding an honorary membership or association in this special “Rossi” family. They are gathering up there now. 

Times have changed and my only solace is to believe that one day those new young lives in our diminishing family will cherish the time they have with the remainder of their deeply-routed family as I cherish those times with mine; my “Rossi” family.
