Travis I. Williams, 89, passed away Monday May 25 at his home in Iola.
Funeral service will be 3:00 p.m. Friday May 29 at Evergreen Freewill Baptist Church in Keith. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time at the church.
Travis was born October 9, 1925 in Durant, Oklahoma the son of George Elvin and Faye (Griffin) Williams. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII.
Travis is preceded in death by his parents; two sons, George Allen Williams and James “Butch” Williams; one sister and four brothers.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Rosie Williams; daughter, Paula Wells; brother, Albert Williams; niece, Cindy Williams and nephew, Jason Williams.
