Thomas A. Brodigan, 81, of Bryan went to be with his Lord on April 20, 2011 at Christus Dubuis Hospital of Bryan. Visitation will be from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Monday, April 25, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. The Rosary will be recited 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 with a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated immediately following at St. Joseph Catholic Church, with Reverend Monsignor John A. McCaffrey as celebrant.
Mr. Brodigan was born April 28, 1929 in Beaver, Penn., the son of Thomas A. and Helen (Spangler) Brodigan. He attended Penn State and was an Army veteran, serving in Korean during the war. He married Barbara Bianchi and they would have celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in September of this year. Mr. Brodigan retired from Babcock and Wilcock Steel Company as a Metallurgical Engineer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, VFW, American Legion, Metallurgical Engineer Association and was a life long sports enthusiast.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Bianchi) Brodigan; children, Cathy L. Brodigan of Dallas, Michael P. Brodigan of Bryan, Thomas M. Brodigan and his wife Kristin of Gaithersburg, MD; four grandsons, Michael John Brodigan of Bryan, Thomas John Brodigan, Patrick James Brodigan and Matthew Joseph Brodigan, all of Gaithersburg, MD; sister-in-law, Mary K. Bianchi; four nieces, one nephew and a host of friends.
