Robert Eugene White Sr.

Robert Eugene White, Sr. (Gene), 79, of Madisonville, Texas passed away, October 17, 2018 in Madisonville. A celebration of Gene’s life will be 6:00 PM, Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.

Gene was born July 13, 1939 in Lexington, Texas, the son of Elmo O. and Edith Ellen Mae (Goode) White. The family moved to Ajo, AZ, where Gene learned to love hiking in the desert and frequently return to Ajo to pursue this passion. After retiring as a co-manager with Kroger’s, Gene started a lawn maintenance company, “Green Gene’s.”

Gene was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother Kenneth White.

Survivors include his children; Robert E. White, Jr., Sherry White, Lisa Workman, and Heather Morgan; brothers & sisters; Ann Foster, George White, Janie Newsome, Paul White, Gary White, and Barbara Riggs Turner; eight grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
