I loved Ray.   He was about 7 years older than me. I’ve got so many fond memories of him doing chores for my Mom & Granny at Uncle Charlie’s Hickory House.   One summer day I couldn’t get my amethyst birthstone ring off my finger & Ray came to my rescue with tiny pliers to snip it off,  he was gentle, it was a delicate procedure.   In more recent years he did some carpentry work & others improvements on Granny & Papa’s old house my Mom & Aunt Carol had long ago inherited.  They needed to get it looking nice before they put it up for sale.   Ray made a huge difference in how nice the home looked.  Rest In Peace sweet Ray & condolences to his family & friends.    Danna 

Ray will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him. His generosity was unparalleled! Ray had a way of telling things like they are, and I appreciated his words so often. I cherish our last conversations and only wish that we could have had more. Rest In Peace Ray. 

Ray was a good neighbor and I always enjoyed visiting with him, he will be missed.  

I had the pleasure of getting to know Ray over all these years through Sheila and Kenneth.  The McKinley family is one big happy family that always welcomes friends with open arms and big hugs!  Ray was always at the birthday bashes, anniversary celebrations, baptisms, etc.  and always had his infectious smile to greet you!  He was a wonderful guy and loved helping everyone!  His love of carpentry showed in everything he built or designed.   It was perfect and it was gorgeous!  He also could raise a mean garden!  He could BBQ like no man can!  He was just a good ole country boy!  And, Ray, loved his Lord and Savior.  Saying goodbye is not easy to the ones we love so much,  but God in his infinite wisdom will give all of you memories to hold in your hearts.  Praying for all of his family during this sad time.
