Peggy Jean Rodgers Hazelwood

Peggy Jean (Rodgers) Hazelwood, 73, formerly of Bryan entered into rest on August 14, 2011 at Morningside Manor in San Antonio. The family will receive friends beginning at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at Cavitt Church of Christ. The funeral service will start at 11:00 a.m., with Mr. Gene Dewveall officiating. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park.

Peggy was born August 6, 1938 in Electra, Texas, the daughter of Sidney and Willie May (Shirley) Rodgers.

Mrs. Hazelwood was a member of Oak Hills Church in San Antonio. She was an expert gardener and loved being in the yard and garden.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth Ray Hazelwood in on September 23, 1992.

Survivors include her children, Sydney Poggioli, Connie Sims, Kenneth Hazelwood, and Daniél Mason; a brother, David Rodgers; sisters, Linda Davidson and Lois Bramer; nine grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
