

A Mass of Christian burial will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, September 22, at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Bryan. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 5:30-9:00 p.m. Friday, September 21, at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with a rosary at 7:00 p.m.
Michael was born January 1, 1987 in Plano, Texas the son of Mark and Debbie (Restivo) McClendon. He graduated from Wylie High School in 2005 and played football and baseball for the Wylie Pirates. He continued his education at Tarleton State University and Sam Houston State University. Michael served his country joining the U.S. Navy in August 2011. He was stationed at Ft. Sam Houston in San Antonio where he was a Hospital Corpsman.
Michael loved his family and friends very much, he would see them as often as he could. “His big smile melted your heart”, a friend had quoted. Michael had a special close bond with his brother, Josh and his cousin David, they could always be seen together having a good time with each other. He loved to go deer hunting with his dad. Michael loved everything about Texas A&M University and the Aggies.
Michael is preceded in death by his grandmothers, Lucy Restivo and Wilma McClendon.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Debbie McClendon of Wylie; sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer McClendon Helka and Paul of Ft. Worth; brother, Josh McClendon of Wylie; nephew, Lucas Helka of Ft. Worth; grandfathers, Joe Restivo of Bryan, Jimmie McClendon of Iola; aunts and uncles, Corrine Court, JoAnn and David Limerick, Barbara Restivo, Michelle and Dan Walker, and Jimmy and Janie McClendon; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
