Mary was a beautiful soul and a beloved wife, mother, daughter, and sister. She loved children, animals, and her garden. She loved caring for others and making the world a kinder and more beautiful place. Mary was a maverick in the best sense—she knew her herself, she saw deeply into others, she tended to all God’s creatures who needed caring for, and she walked her own path in courage and conviction. No one ever has been or ever will be like her. She was the light of her husband’s life.
She passed after her father and mother, Cotton and Anne Freeman, and will be so happy to see them again. She is survived by her husband, Tom, whom she always referred to as Tony; by her children, Samara, John, and Patrick; her daughter-in-law, Erin; her siblings, Den, Franne, and Sally; and her nephews and nieces, Matthew, Daniel, Gavin, Zinnia, and Zephyr.
A Rosary and Funeral Service will be held at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Bryan, Texas, at 11am on Saturday, April 1,2023.
Mary would have loved for her loved ones to remember their fondest memories of her, to love one another as she loved all of us, and to share laughs, good food, and much joy in her honor.
