Margaret Louise Arrington

Margaret Louise Arrington (Edgecomb) was born on January 18, 1934, near Sumner, Washington. When she was a child, Margaret moved to Pelican, Alaska, with her family, where her dad was a construction carpenter and commercial fisherman, and her mother worked at Pelican Cold Storage. Margaret moved back to Everett, Washington, as a young adult where she met her future husband, Clyde "Wayne" Arrington, through mutual friends.

Margaret married Wayne on October 17, 1953, and had their son, Michael Arrington, a year after they wed and their daughter, Patrica Jalufka (Arrington) 2 years later. Margaret spent many of her years traveling around the world with her family as Wayne served in the United States Air Force until his retirement on July 1, 1968. After Wayne's retirement from the Air Force, Margaret and her family lived in Bryan, Texas, until her passing on November 15, 2024.

Margaret started to become known as grandma in 1985 and great grandma in 2007. But regardless of what she was called by her family, Margaret is known by all as just a kind person. When she couldn't be found singing and humming to herself along with some of her favorite records, you could find her outside admiring nature, taking long walks, and enjoying the birds.

Margaret enjoyed many years of travel with Wayne, bringing back souvenirs which were proudly displayed in their home until Margaret's health began to interfere. In their final years together, Wayne's devotion to Margaret was unwavering until his passing on December 19, 2022.

Margaret is survived by her children, Michael Arrington and Patrica Jalufka (Michael Jalufka); grandchildren, Baylee Arrington (Violet Rodriguez), Will Arrington, Scott Jalufka, Alaina Jalufka (Joshua Joiner), Mark Jalufka, and Patrick Jalufka (Vivian Delgado); five great grandchildren. Margaret is preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Clyde Wayne Arrington, parents Gilbert Longfellow Edgecomb and May Edgecomb (Klapp), siblings Velzora Hults, Herman Edgecomb, John Edgecomb, William "Bill" Edgecomb, and Betty Riley.
