

Lucille H. Lightsey, 86, of Bryan entered into rest on February 15, 2011. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Thursday, February 17, 2011 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. A memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 18, 2011 at Central Baptist Church.
Lucille was born October 26, 1924 in Bryan, the daughter of Steve and Lucy (Novak) Hudetts. In addition to being a wife and mother, she was the travel accountant at the Texas Agriculture Extension Service before her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Steve and Lucy Hudetts; husband, Oliver Lightsey; sisters, Olga Burkhalter, Frances Armstrong; brother, Steve Hudetts; and a granddaughter, Alice Joy Lightsey.
Survivors include her sons & their wives; Milton & Libby Lightsey, Art & Debbie Lightsey; sisters & brothers-in-law; Rosie Brown, Elva Jane & George Lightsey, Mickey & Clyde Armstrong; sisters-in-law; Barbara Hudetts; Gladys Loehr, Leafy Armstrong; Grandchildren; Mark & Amanda Lightsey; Debbie & Bill Lander, Michele Jordan; Great Grandchildren; Camryn & Kendall Lightsey, Allison & Amanda Ricke, Tyler & Cody Jordan.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lucille’s caregivers; Rita McGee and Ann Merchant; her doctors, Dr. Anna Damian and Dr. Michael Steines and to Hospice Brazos Valley.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Building Fund at Central Baptist Church or Hospice Brazos Valley.
