Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday January 29 at Evergreen Cemetery in Keith. Visitation will be from 3 – 8 p.m. Wednesday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Lee was born July 12, 1942 in Edge, Texas the son of Amos and Evelyn (Crenshaw) Gibson. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army. Lee worked as a carpenter and builder in varies places including Oregon, Bryan and Pasadena. He enjoyed family and friends, the great outdoors, drag racing and dancing. He retired at the age of 62 due to illness and had the pleasure of watching his westerns. Lee was a survivor through some tough and long days.
Lee is preceded in death by his parents; son, Jimmy Gibson; daughters, Donna Gibson and Lisa Marie Gibson; brothers, Walter “Butch” Gibson, Robert “PeeWee” Melesky and Michael “Mikey” Gibson; and a sister, Joyce Roger.
Lee leaves behind his loving wife of 33 years, Linda Gibson of Pasadena; aunt, Margie Marvell of Channelview; sons and daughters, Danny Gibson and wife Glenda of Pasadena, David Gibson, Ricky Gibson, Ginger Gibson and Jerry Gibson all of Kilgore, Vernon Bridwell and wife Tera of Minnesota, Sherry Pinell and husband Kurt of Pasadena, and Craig Bridwell and wife Tonia of Baytown; brother, Mitchell “Peanut” Gibson and wife Patricia of Bryan; sisters, Evelyn “Louise” Luce of Iola, Darlene Grisham of Midway, Mary Jane Scoggins of San Antonio and Virginia Melesky of Magnolia; many grandchildren, one great-grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
