He loved his companions, Rocco and Simba Narro. Joe had his special life long friends that he always considered his brothers: Edward “Bear” Ramirez, Jr, Gilbert “Tito” Ramirez, and Tommy Ramirez.
Joe leaves behind wonderful memories and loved reminiscing of his high school years. He especially loved reminiscing of his years spent at Ken Martin’s Steakhouse. Joe loved his music, dancing, cooking, the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Aggies. Joe and Audrea were married in 1991 for 20 years and together had their daughter Marisa Angelica in 1993, whom Joe adored and loved more than life itself. His love of Audrea was remarkable and they continued to take care of each other until his last day. Joe loved his Son In-law Brandon Keil, AKA his “Mijo”, who was very special to him. He was at peace that Marisa had found her forever partner in Brandon. He was proud to see Marisa not only graduate from Stephen F. Austin in 2014 but also got to see her go on to receive her Master’s degree from the University of North Texas in 2022, and her marriage to Brandon Keil in January of 2025.
Joe was a true Soldier of God and his journey here on earth was lived with love, laughter, and strength. Joe was given the ultimate reward by being reunited with The Lord and his loved ones that had passed before him.
We honor Joe, not mourning his lengthy battle against his human body but, instead, by celebrating the laughter, joy, and stories of what a great man he was.
