Joe Bill Bomnskie Jr. “Pepaw”, 77, passed away Friday, October 19 at his home in Tabor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:30 – 8:00 p.m. Monday with a rosary service at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan.
Joe Bill was born February 1, 1941 in Bryan the son of Joe Bill Sr. and Helen (Gurney) Bomnskie. He proudly served our county in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Joe Bill was longtime co-owner of Central Electric Supply, Inc. in Bryan.
Joe Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and especially loved going to the family beach house in Matagorda. He also enjoyed trips to The Coushatta Casino to play the slot machines.
Joe Bill is preceded in death by his parents; son, David Howard Bomnskie, grandchildren, David Wilkerson, Baby Boy Wilkerson and Blaine Wilkerson; great-grandson, Keaton Musgrove; brothers, Herman, Richard and Eddie Wayne; and sisters, Lula Mae and Clara.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jeanette Bomnskie; sons and daughters-in-law, Joe Bill “Bubba” III and Alice Bomnskie, Randy Scott and Jennifer Bomnskie; daughter and son-in-law, Christie Lynn and Robbie Kilpatrick Jr.; sister, Irene Sapp; grandchildren, Victoria “Tori” Musgrove and husband James, Brianna “Bri” Bomnskie, Trent Bomnskie and wife Vicki, Tyler Bomnskie, Randi Bomnskie, Dakota Bomnskie, Shelby Dodd, Madison Dodd, Braydun “Muddd” Kilpatrick, Brooke Kilpatrick and Robbie Kilpatrick III; great-grandchildren, Hayden Bomnskie, Kashton Musgrove, Sidnee Bomnskie, Trent Bomnskie Jr., Liliana Kilpatrick and Noah Kilpatrick; his dogs, Marino and Nick; and numerous other family and friends.
