Jeannie was born May 10, 1953 in Janesville, WI to Gerald and Geraldine Chamberlain.
Jeannie was an accounting clerk at Brazos Savings and then retired from Texas A&M Veterinary School after 20 years as an accountant.
She participated in many organizations at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church - Bible study, Mt. Calvary Rosary Guild, Women’s Guild, Meals on Wheels, and Perpetual Adoration. She enjoyed singing in the St. Joseph Folk group during Mass for many years.
If you knew Jeannie, you may have received one of her crafting projects, or she may have sent you a card or given you a handpicked gift for your birthday. She enjoyed making rosaries and packing scapulars to give away. You could find her quilting a beautiful blanket or playing Scrabble with her brothers or enjoying time at The Theatre Company. Being at the theatre made her feel close to her son, Chris, who had enjoyed acting and singing in many plays there. She loved family singalongs with Jim and Danny playing guitars and banjos. Jeannie also loved to travel, especially with Tom and Marcia.
Jeannie battled serious illness much of her life with great faith and courage. She believed strongly in the power of prayer. She was a thoughtful and generous woman.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her beloved son, Chris Yow.
Jeannie is survived by her loving family: sister and brother-in-law, Marcia and Frank Zemanek, brother Reverend Tom Chamberlain, sister and brother-in-law, Mary Jo and Carl Cooper, brother Reverend Jim Chamberlain, sister and brother-in-law, Kathy and Danny Borski, many cousins, numerous nieces and nephews, and lots of wonderful friends.
