He was born on June 10, 1931 in Ridge, Texas to Willard and Edna Prichard.
He spent his young life in New Baden and Franklin. After graduating from Franklin High School, he joined the Air Force. During his service years he met and married Nancy Ray on December 18, 1954.
After his honorable discharge, he and Nancy made their home in Pasadena. James worked as an electrician for 30 years in a chemical plant on the Houston Ship Channel.
Nancy and James had three children; Terry Robinson of Marquez, Roy Prichard of Deer Park, and Rhonda Miller of Pasadena.
While in Pasadena, he served as a deacon at the Central Church of Christ. James liked to fish, watch football games, play 42-dominoes, work on household appliances, played tennis, and travel.
After retiring from the chemical plant, James and Nancy moved back to Franklin, where he started his own small appliance repair shop for the entire town. He learned to snow ski when he was 64 years old.
James is survived by his wife, Nancy; his children, Terry, Roy, Rhonda and James' sister, Nancy Lou Stirl of Daingerfield.
James and Nancy have enjoyed their later life with six grandchildren. Casey Robinson: who married Stephen Bradley; Nikki Robinson: who married Justin Meador; Kelly Robinson: who married Charles Seely, Kayleigh Miller, Wade Miller: who married Jessica Miller, and Christopher Miller.
James and Nancy have 7 great grandchildren (Ace, Rhett, Chance, Conner, Cameron, Reagan and Ryder) with another due in June of this year.
Their informally adopted family - Jerry and Whitney Paceley, their daughters, Kalyn and Ashlyn and Cole Montgomery and Beau have been a joy to their lives in Franklin.
Numerous nieces and nephews also fill their memories.
James is preceded in death by his parents, Willard and Edna; stepmother, Georgie; his sister, Oleta Cargill; and granddaughter, Kayleigh Miller.
