He is survived by his wife, Eunice Hamilton, also of Bryan, Texas; son, Terry M. Hamilton, of Houston, Texas; daughter, Amy Teresa Castetter, son-in-law, Alex A. Castetter, grandsons Noah and Daniel Castetter, all of Whitehouse, Texas; brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Lucy Ward, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Nancy Chapman Hamilton, and his two brothers Dale and Forest Hamilton.
Visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church of Bryan, Texas, 3100 Cambridge Drive, Bryan, Texas, from 10 A.M. to 12 P.M. on September 6th, 2016. Funeral services will also be held at the First Baptist Church at 1 P.M. the same day. Interment will follow at the Bryan City Cemetery.
Dr. Hamilton was born in Okemah, Oklahoma on March 18, 1934 and after attending Connors Junior College and Oklahoma State University, obtained a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University. He was employed in the Oil and Gas Industry specializing in exploration and pipeline services.
Dr. Hamilton served as a deacon of the First Baptist Church of Bryan and was active in other ministries of the church. He was a family man who enjoyed woodworking and genealogy.
