Florine Hendricks

Florine S. Hendricks, 99, of Bryan Texas passed away Friday, May 17, 2013 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Saturday, May 18, 2013 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday May 19, 2013 at Memorial funeral Chapel. Reverend Dr. James A Mc Leod will be officiating.

Florine S. Hendricks was born on January 2, 1914 in Onalaska, Polk County, Texas to Robert Smith and Margaret Mc Leod. She was an avid bridge player and belonged to many bridge groups. Florine also enjoyed contributing hand knitted hats for the Gold Medallion Knitting group for charity. She crocheted many caps for the caring for others group of United Methodist Women. Though out her life Florine shared her hand work with others.

Florine was a member of the Neighborly Sunday School Charity Class.

She is preceded in death by her

husband, James M. Hendricks.

Survivors include nephews, James and Dolphin Smith and their daughter Amanda, Mark and Doris Smith and their daughter Sarah and son Robert; special sister-in-law, Ruth Hendricks and her family; Cousin, James and Mary Ann McLeod; and special family friends include, Leo and Mary Anne Durbins; Drew Durbin and daughter Lexi, Brian and Tara Durbin and their son Robert and daughter Kathleen Durbin, Paul and Sandy Durbin, Alvina Hahn and son Henry.
