Ella Mae Thomas

Services are set for 12 p.m. on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at Northview Baptist Church in Bryan. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until the service, at the church.

Born in Edge, Texas in 1926, Ella “Mae” lived as a force of nature. She worked very hard her entire life without complaint and with a happy heart. She never met a stranger, welcoming everyone. Through very trying times she still trusted the Lord, Jesus Christ and was devoted to her church. She fiercely loved her husband, children and grandchildren and anyone else who would let her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many who will miss her, dearly.

She is preceded in death by Robert Evans Thomas, the love of her life; her daughter, Barbara Jo Cargill; her sons, Bobby Ray Cargill and Bradford Duncan Cargill; and her stepson Richard Thomas.

Survivors include her daughter, Tammy Thomas Connor and husband Michael J. Connor, II; her stepson, Mike Thomas and his wife Sharon; her stepdaughters Deborah Thomason and Diane Glidewell. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
