Charles Edward Rhodes, Sr., 76, passed away Sunday December 29 at St. Joseph Regional Health Center.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday January 2 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Interment will follow at Rest-Ever Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Charles was born October 16, 1937 in Anniston, AL. the son of Ullman and Opal (Dear) Rhodes. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; wife Amaila Rhodes; brother, Jerry Rhodes; and his sisters Shirley Rhodes-Brown and Doris Rhodes.
He is survived by his sons, Charles Edward Rhodes Jr. and wife Tena, Edward Wayne Rhodes and fiancé Judy Williamson; daughter, Nancy Kimble and husband Patrick; sister, Patricia Jean Bennett; grandchildren, Christena Kay Thurmon, Roy Edward Rhodes, Jonathan Scott Ibarra, Emma Beth Rhodes Jennifer Amalia Hernandez and Charli Nicole Rhodes; and eight great-grandchildren.
