Bonnie Hogard

Bonnie Gale Hogard was born, as the older sister to Bobby and Don, and daughter of Rector and Jenettia Jackson in Hamil, Arkansas on September 12, 1932. She grew up in Pocahontas, Arkansas working in her family-owned grocery store. After working at Southwestern State Telephone Company as a switchboard operator, she met and courted Harold Wayne Hogard. Their young romance blossomed into a lifelong marriage beginning July 2, 1955 and ending her last earthly breath.

As an adult, she served as former president of the Bryan/College Station Better Business Bureau, as chairman of the board of directors of the BCS Red Cross, as a sister of the Eastern Star, former owner and broker of Century 21 Bonnie Hogard & Associates, and as a member of the Central Baptist Church. More importantly, she and Harold welcomed and raised 3 sons, Wayne Jackson, Jeffrey Lynn, and Steven Pickett. Their three sons blessed them with 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Memorial Funeral Chapel, 1515 South College Ave, Bryan, TX, will be holding an open visitation on Thursday, February 21, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 pm. A celebration and memorial service for her life will be officiated by Wade Phillips at Memorial Funeral Chapel on Friday, February 22, 2019 at 10:00 am.
