Being the eldest of eleven children, she was expected to be a role model to her younger siblings, a role she took seriously. She was like a second mother to her younger siblings because through the years, she cared for them as if they were her own.
Beatrice attended Caldwell schools, beginning with her early years at Cooks Point School, in Cooks Point. She had many fond memories of her school years at Cooks Point, which she attended with her siblings and many of her cousins.
After graduating from Caldwell High School in 1956, she began to work at J.C. Penney, which was located, in the Varisco Building in downtown Bryan. She worked in different capacities but she really enjoyed being a window dresser for the store. She worked there for 30+ years and later retired from there.
She met the love of her life, Adam Perez, and six months later, on March 11, 1962, they were married. On May 8, 1963, their daughter, Cynthia Ann was born. Then in January 23, 1966, their son, Michael Adam was born.
Beatrice had a green thumb and loved working in her flower beds. She grew all kinds of flowers and plants, which made her yard look beautiful. She loved surfing the internet for new recipes to cook. She was an avid QVC shopper. Many of her gifts to her family and friends, came from there. She also loved playing games with her sisters whenever they would have gatherings.
