Barbara Ann Scherr, 70, of College Station, passed away August 24, 2011. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, August 26 at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan. Funeral Service will be 10 a.m. Saturday August 27 at Henry Prairie Baptist Church between Wheelock and Franklin off Highway 46. Interment will follow at Henry Prairie Cemetery.
Barbara was born June 3, 1941 in Franklin to George and Helen Morgan. She was a graduate of Franklin High School class of 1959, and a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church in College Station. She was also a member of numerous bridge clubs, served as an election official, and a College Station ISD volunteer. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and will be missed dearly by numerous family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brothers Tom Morgan and Adren Morgan; sister Sadie Brocato.
Survivors include her husband Donald Philip Scherr; son Scott Joseph Scherr; grandchildren Stephanie, Travis, Avery, and Bailey Scherr, all of College Station; brothers Taylor Morgan of Franklin, Mack Morgan and wife Rosemary of Arlington, Jerry Morgan and wife Betty of Franklin; sisters Doris Pilger and husband Edwin of Franklin, Margie Dalton and husband Dick of Houston.

Directions to the church/cemetery in Franklin, from US Hwy 79, take Farm Rd. 46 south about 1 mile to the Franklin Cemetery on the right side of the road. From Farm Rd 46 turn right or south onto Henry Prairie Road (the dirt road that runs in front of Franklin Cemetery) and continue for about 5 miles to the second major left turn that does not enter someone's property, onto Henry Prairie Church Road. Henry Prairie Baptist Church and Henry Prairie Cemetery will be on your left, (both marked with signs) just down road on left. Cemetery enclosed by chain link fence.
