William Brantley Taylor, Sr. 75, of Brunswick, passed away Wednesday May 12, 2010 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 11 am. Friday May 14, 2010 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, With Rev. Earl Lamey and Rev. Ronnie Clark officiating. Entombment will follow service in Horse Stamp Cemetery in Waverly, GA. Serving active pallbearers will be Brantley Taylor, Stanley Taylor, Gerald Taylor, Benny Taylor, Andy Taylor, Jr. and Aaron Taylor.
Visitation will be held from 6 pm. until 8 pm. Thursday May 13, 2010 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home in Brunswick, GA.
Mr. Taylor was a lifelong native of Brunswick born June 3, 1934. and was the son of the late James Mallon Taylor and the late Mary Willie Newman Taylor. Mr. Taylor retired from Seaboard Construction Company as a General Laborer. Mr. Taylor was an avid Nascar Racing Fan and WWE Wrestling Fan. He was a devoted husband and father and a person of many traits. He was a member of the Advent Christian Church.
In addition to Mr. Taylor’s parents he is preceded in death by his brother J.M. “Pop” Taylor.
Survivors include his loving wife of 53 years Wardine Taylor of Brunswick, GA. four sons Brantley and Benny Taylor, Stanley Taylor and wife Tracy, and Gerald Taylor and wife Linda all of Brunswick, GA., five grandchildren Andy, Aaron, Mallory, and Carlye Taylor all of Brunswick. GA. and Brandy Anderson of Woodstock, GA., great-grandson Athen Taylor of Brunswick, GA. brother C.N.”Jug” Taylor of Brunswick, GA., five sisters Florrie Hurry of Astor FL., Winfred Gulley, Lillie Bennett, Brenda Allen all of Brunswick, GA. and Mary Holizna of Ford City, PA. many nieces and nephews.
