William "Neal" O'Neal Dees Jr.

Born on October 25, 1954, to William and Kathryn Dees, Neal spent his life working with his hands and doing many things he loved. He held many jobs over the years, from mechanic and construction work to industrial jobs at LCP and Sea Pak Foods. Later in life, he found a home in maintenance at the Hampton Inn on St. Simons Island, where he enjoyed fixing things and meeting new people.

Neal had a deep love for cars, fishing, and hunting, and for a time, he was a scratch golfer. He was always ready with a good joke and had a knack for making people laugh. He will be remembered for his hardworking nature, his sense of humor, and his love of the simple things in life.

Neal is survived by his only son, William (Rachel) Dees and his grandchildren William “Liam” and Sophia Dees. He is also survived by his adopted granddaughter Sierra Brown, his partner Linda Breedlove, her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, as well as several cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

A memorial service will be held at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home to celebrate his life on Saturday, March 29, 2025 at 11:00 am.
