William Thomas "Billy" Branch, 80, was born September 18, 1943. He was born in a cabbage field in Darien, Georgia to the late Percey Eugene and Pearl Thornton Branch. He passed on January 10, 2024. He graduated from Glynn Academy in 1961. He was a boilermaker with the Local 26 in Savannah, Georgia. He travelled the southeast region of the U.S. working. He loved to fish, to cook and to spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife Joella of 60 years. He is also survived by his two sons; William Kipp Branch (Sandra) of Brunswick and Eric T. Branch of Savannah, Georgia. His grandchildren, Alexia and McKenzie Branch of Brunswick and Taylor (Kadie) and Adley Branch of Jesup. His great grandchildren; Henry Branch of Brunswick and Emma Kate and Bailey Ann Branch of Jesup. His two brothers, Jimmy (Elaine) Branch and Donny (Sandy) of Brunswick. He also is survived, as well, by numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Freddy, Bobby and Johnny Branch.
Honorary Pallbearers are Kirk Branch, Taylor Branch, Dusty Branch, Mike Evans, Stoney Branch, Jimmy D Branch, Shane Branch, Buddy Baker, and Henry Branch.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 13, 2024 from 2 to 4 pm at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with a service at 4pm in the Edo Chapel. Preacher Travis Thrower will be officiating. In lieu of flowers the family kindly request that donations be made to Golden Isles Baptist Church of Brunswick, GA.
