On Friday, January 8, 2021 the Lord reach his hand down to this earth and escorted one of his children home. On that day Veronica Diane Wright entered peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior and now she is rejoicing in Heaven. She separated the soul from the body, so that she may peacefully rest from her labor on earth. Veronica Diane Wright was born in Seneca, South Carolina on October 13, 1950, to the late John Sam Johnson and Nina Erlene Johnson; she was also preceded in death by her three brothers, John Sam Johnson Jr, Kenny Johnson and Donald Johnson preceded her in death.
According to the book of Ecclesiastes, “To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under the heaven”. Among these are: A Time To Be Born, A Time To Die, A Time To Plant, and A Time To Rejoice.
She was a loyal wife, mother, faithful daughter and loving sister. She graduated from Blue Ridge High School and married Henry Wright on April 27th 1980 in North Augusta, South Carolina. Veronica was affectionately adored and loved by many. She will be truly missed.
She leaves to cherish her memory, a devoted and loving husband Henry Wright. A daughter Michelle Wright, a son Chris (Sherry) Brown. Three Brothers: Joe Bradley of Seneca, South Carolina , James Johnson of Clemson, South Carolina and Bobby (Genevieve) Johnson of Pendleton, South Carolina. Two sisters, Dorothy (James) Johnson and Patsy Johnson both of Seneca, South Carolina. Grandchildren Ashley Wright, Devin Wright, Mariah Wright, J’Quan Brown, Anfernee Brown, Kejuan Brown, Tyrese Bradley, Cameron Brown, D’Angelo Brown, James Brown, Brittany Hunter, Reggie Simmons Jr and Cameron Simmons. Great grandchildren Jayden Davis, Christian Long, Carson Long, Raegan Wright, Kaylyn Davis, Kemiyah Kates, Brooklyn Hunter, Bella and Branson Lewis. Five god-daughters Karrie (Ron) Eads, Liz West, Lindsey Wilson, Brittany Cleveland and Emillie Block of Brunswick, Georgia and a host of nieces, nephews and other extended family.
The family will receive friends between 5:00 – 7:00 PM Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. The funeral service to celebrate her life will begin at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. Mark Linton and Dr. Bill Ligon officiating.
