Valerie J. Anderson Mead

Mrs. Mead was a native of Flint, Michigan and had been a resident of Glynn County for the past 24 Years. She was a graduate of Lakeside High School in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1975, attended Lee College in Cleveland, TN, and received her BA Degree in Accounting from University of Michigan in 1981. She was a member of the Sigma Nu Sigma.

Mrs. Mead was employed with General Motors from 1977 to 1988 and was the owner and operator of Master Lube in Brunswick. She was a member of the Christian Renewal in Brunswick.

Mrs. Mead was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph Matthew Anderson, a nephew, Brian Joseph Cox.

Survivors are her husband, Michael Claude Mead, son, Joshua Brennan Mead, daughter, Victoria Anna Mead, father, James Edward Anderson, her mother, Margie Shelton Anderson, sisters, G. Faye Cox (Harry), Gail Anderson Spivey (Dwight), Peggy Anderson James (Perry K.), Edith Anderson Kerns (Jimmy), numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 PM Thursday 12/20/12 in the Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick with Senior Pastor Bill Ligon, Pastor Mark Linton and Bishop T. Dwight Spivey officiating. Interment will follow in Chapel Park Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be: Jim Spivey, Shawn Spivey, James Anderson Cox, Travis Shaw, Brad Goodman, Zack Mead, Tyler Kelley, and Jeremy Cox Honorary Pallbearers will be: Members of Heartland Hospice.

The family request those wishing to honor Valerie may make contributions to the Christian Renewal Church in Brunswick or Heartland Hospice of Brunswick. The family will receive friends in the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home from 6 to 8:30 PM Wednesday 12/19/12.
