Tressia Ann Poppell

Tressia Bennett Poppell, age 63, of Cox, Georgia, died Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Hospice of the Golden Isles in Brunswick. Tressia was a lifelong resident of this area and was a member of Darien Church of God since 1992. She was employed at Southeastern Bank in Darien for 25 years. Tressia enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Patrick Poppell, and her parents, Junior and Margie Bennett.

She is survived by a daughter, Callie Lamb (Kelly) and their children, Katelyn and Patrick, all of Cox; a brother, Ricky Bennett (Diane) of Darien; three sisters, Linda Kirkland (Ronnie) of Cox, Gail Rooks of Darien and Pamela Anderson, also of Darien, and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home.

The funeral service will be Wednesday, June 11, 2014 at 10:00 am at Darien Church of God with Reverend Tommy Whaley officiating. Pallbearers will be Ricky Bennett, Ronnie Kirkland, Jr., Bobby Anderson, Chris Singleton, Chris Speed and Scott Speed. Burial will follow in Gardner Poppell Cemetery in Cox.
