A native of Brunswick, Terry was born the 2nd of March 1951. From an early age, Terry showed tremendous skill in the areas of music, science, and mathematics. She received multiple awards for her talent playing the piano, and ultimately graduated with highest honors from the University of Georgia with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
Terry taught honors-level mathematics at Camden County High School, where she was recognized for her superior performance as an educator, and was consistently selected as one of the top teachers by the student body.
One of Terry’s passions was family history. She was an accomplished genealogist, and had traced her family lineage back over 1,300 years.
Above all else, Terry loved being a mother and a grandmother. Her love of her family was boundless, and she will be missed dearly by those she left behind.
Terry is preceded in death by her father, Terry O’Neil Newman, and her daughter, Laura Elyse Lemieux.
Survivors include her son, Michael A. Clements and his wife, Vanessa, of Atlanta; her sister, Carla Pace of Brunswick; and her mother, Joyce Newman of Brunswick.
