Dear Members of the Family of Terri Saunders,
Please know how sorry and shocked I was to see that Terri had passed away.  She was a wonderful teacher who touched many lives.  I worked with Terri in the Math Department at Glynn Academy from the early 2000s to 2015, when I retired from teaching.  Terri and I both taught Geometry, and she and I re-wrote the standards and curriculum for Geometry for Glynn Academy and the local school system. 
     Terri taught a lot of regular math classes at Glynn Academy, and she preferred to teach those kids (who struggled with math and did not "like" math  rather than the honors classes.  She had a knack for reaching those learners.  Needless to say, she helped me to improve as a teacher.
She has left us too early, and will be missed!  I am still teaching middle school math at St. Francis (Catholic school in Brunswick), and ---like Terri, I am teaching the kids who are the "regular" learners! What I learned from Terri has helped me to be a better teacher.  Terri was definitely a great teacher, and we all will miss her! I can see her now up in Heaven teaching math ! She was a light in the world, a caring, selfless, funny, and impactful person through my time with her in high school.

You have been such a force in my life for the last 20 years. You made me a better teacher, a better friend, and a better human. I was always so envious of your creativity and artistic ability and will cherish the times you shared your passion with us on our paint and sip dates! Your ability to meet the needs of all of your students over the 30 years you were at Glynn Academy inspired me to always work harder and be better for my students. Your love of life and fun made me embrace every moment and live every day like it’s my last, I am in denial that you are gone and just hope one day we will me again. I love you. Jason loves you. Jesus everyone you called your friend loves you. I hope you have found the peace and happiness you always wanted. 


Ms. Saunders was my cheer coach and tenth-grade geometry teacher at Glynn Academy and had a forever impact on my life. Her classroom was a safe space for me during lunch when I needed some quiet time to do school work, regroup, and reset. I always admired her and thought she was so very special. I haven't seen or spoken to her in many years, but the imprint she had on my life was important and ever-lasting. Rest in peace, Ms. Saunders. 

Terri drove Uncle Doyce and Aunt Polly up to Alex and Ginny's for his 75th birthday, and Mother's 90th. She always was a dog whisperer!  

I wasn’t on this trip, but Aunt Norma (my mother) and Uncle JD (my dad) took John and David to Colorado see Uncle Doyce, Aunt Carolyn, Terri and Kevin while Uncle Doyce was going to the Colorado School of Mines. This is 50+ years ago, but still real!

Terri was a dear friend although I didn’t see her often.  I am comforted knowing that she is with her mom and brother.  Praying for Terri’s family and friends.

Thinking of your family during this difficult time. I pray God brings you peace and comfort. I am so sorry for your loss.

I still remember this trip, was always my favorite time with you both. I miss you both dearly each day. I know you’re both with Dad too, happy as can be. I love you all. Mamal, Myself and Aunt Terri. 

I love you and will miss you terribly,  but I pray Max will adjust to me, Gunner and all of my mutts. He knows us, but Max's grief is another story. God only knows.❤

We are saddened by the sudden loss of this vibrant lady and teacher, loved by so many of her students.  We knew Terri as a member of our family, always fun and caring.  Holding her memory in our hearts and sending our deepest sympathies to her friends and family.

Terri, you guided me both when I was a student and a teacher at Glynn Academy.  I will never forget you.  Rest in peace. 

To her family and friends, may God comfort you during this difficult time. Know how many lives your dear Terri changed. I’m one of thousands over the years. The world is so much better because she was a part of it, even if only for a short time.
