Steven leaves behind a loving family, many caring friends, and his best friend, Samson. Steven was a kind-hearted, small-town, southern man, no matter where he was in the world. A man who would give you his last dollar so that you could put gas in your car, even if it meant he would sleep in his that night. A man who would pick up a stranger from off the side of the road and not only give you a ride to the store, but make sure you got a ride home too. A man who would work six days a week, and spend his only afternoon off cutting your grass and then take you out to lunch.
Steven was a painter by trade, but would often be found doing small jobs to “keep food in his belly, and gas in the car.” His ability to dive into a project and figure it out along the way was inspiring, and sometimes frustrating. He could never seem to rest, and was always working on something. The loss of this brother, this son, and this father hurts more than words can describe. However, our family finds peace in knowing that there is nothing to fix in Heaven, and that Steven will finally be able to rest.
A visitation will be held at the Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home on Thursday, July 29th from 6pm to 8pm. A funeral service will be held the following day, Friday July 30th at Bible Baptist Church at 11 am. Brother Mike Landrum and Brother Robbie McClelland will be leading the service.
Arrangements have been entrusted into the care of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home and Oglethorpe Crematorium in Brunswick, Georgia www.edomillerandsons.com
