Shirley was born August 6, 1948, to John and Sarah (Melton) Anderson and she was one of nine children.
Shirley was a member of the Brunswick Church of God of Prophecy. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister. She enjoyed to read, sew, dance and visit the local flea markets. She loved to spend time with her family and friends.
Shirley is survived by her husband, Paul Howard; her children, Vanessa Fuller (David) Andy Cotton (Tammy) and Delma Boyett (Kyle) and a sister, Patsy Bullard. She has 15 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Ira Anderson and mother, Sarah Alice Melton, and eight of her siblings.
