Sarah "Sid" Lasseter White

Sarah “Sid” Wesley White, 83, of Brunswick, departed this life Sunday, June 18, 2023 at SGHS in Brunswick. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm on Thursday, June 22, 2023 in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Oglethorpe Memorial Gardens on St. Simons Island.

Born May 1, 1940 in Adel, Georgia to the late Wesley Berry and Ruby Pearl F. Lasseter, she was a graduate of Glynn Academy Class of 1958. She was an accountant for IGA Store on St Simons Island for many years before her retirement. She had been a resident of Glynn County for most of her life and lived on St. Simon for 64 years. She attended First Baptist Church on St. Simons, and enjoyed playing softball, and spending time with her grandchildren and family. In addition to her parents, her husband, Lee Roy Hershel White, a great granddaughter, Isabella Lavarias, and two sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include four children, Johnny LeRoy White and wife Mary of Brunswick, Lori White Bell and husband Keith of Atlanta, Joseph Lee White, and Ruby Leann White Henderson of Brunswick, six grandchildren, Celeste Marie White, Adriene Sarah Lavarias and husband John, Nathan Andrew Bell and wife Stephanie, Nicholas Lee Bell, Stuart Coltrane Henderson, and Chloe Pearl Henderson, four great grandchildren, Maleah Lavarias, Lucas Lavarias, Landon Bell, and Broderick Bell.

The family will receive friends Thursday afternoon, June 22, 2023 from 12:30 pm until the funeral hour at Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home. www.edomillerandsons.com
